What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site operator.

Cookies can be "session cookies" — which expire automatically when you close your browser or "persistent cookies" which remain on your device for a defined period. They can also be "first-party cookies" set directly by OnadaPrep, or "third-party cookies" set by our service providers.

OnadaPrep uses first-party cookies only. We do not permit third-party advertising networks to place cookies on our platform.

Third-Party Services

Some features of OnadaPrep involve third-party service providers that may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies as part of the services they provide to us. These include:

Paystack (Payment Processing): Our payment processor may set cookies during the payment flow to prevent fraud and securely process your transaction. These cookies are governed by Paystack's own privacy policy at paystack.com/privacy.

LiveKit (Video Sessions): Our live tutor session infrastructure may use technical session identifiers to establish and maintain video connections. These are functional in nature and do not track you for advertising or profiling purposes.

Amazon Web Services (Infrastructure): Our cloud hosting provider may use server-side identifiers for load balancing and infrastructure management purposes. These do not collect personal information identifiable to you.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or social media tracking technology on OnadaPrep.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Essential Cookies: These cannot be disabled, as they are required for the platform to operate. Blocking them through your browser settings will prevent OnadaPrep from functioning correctly.

Functional and Analytics Cookies: You may manage these through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies. Common paths include: — Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data — Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data — Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data — Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

You may also contact us at privacy@onadaprep.com to request that specific non-essential cookies be disabled on your account.

Please note that disabling functional or analytics cookies may affect certain features of OnadaPrep and the quality of your experience on the platform.

Your Rights Under Nigerian Law

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (NDPR), you have rights over the personal data collected through cookies, including the right to access, rectify, restrict, or request deletion of that data.
